In brief
Finkova has delivered the electrification of an entire data center and is an authorised electrical contractor in Finland. One site organisation brings cooling and power to completion on one schedule, so interfaces between electrical, cooling and controls work do not fall between contractors.
Delivery scope
- Electrical installation within the agreed design and contract boundaries, for new builds, expansions and staged fit-outs.
- Equipment connections and interfaces with cooling, controls and network work.
- Installation checks, commissioning support and documentation for the agreed scope.
- Work planning around access, isolation, energisation and other site activities.
Responsibilities and interfaces
Design responsibility, energisation authority and statutory inspections are defined in the project plan. For projects elsewhere in the Nordics, the required authorisations and delivery arrangements are established before work begins.
Why combine electrical and cooling work
Liquid-cooled halls are commissioned as systems. Power supply transfers, standby generator starts and cooling load steps are tested together, and a mechanically redundant pump pair is not redundant if both draw power from the same board. When the same organisation installs the power and the cooling, these dependencies are visible from the start rather than discovered at the integrated systems test.
